I have recently bought a second hand iPhone 6 and they set it back to factory settings so I started it back up and it would only allow me too use a Vodafone sim so I bought one and now it's just saying no service any ideas with what's going on?

Do you actually have an account with Vodafone? Because if the SIM isn't connected to any account, it will not do anything. It seems that the phone is locked to Vodafone, so if you are not with them you'll have to contact them to get it unlocked at their discretion.
