Aug 26, 2015 9:59 AM in response to ndflyby Ralph Landry1,★HelpfulIf you want detailed control like that, it might be easier to just connect the two Macs with an Ethernet wire and than drag and drop the content from the old hard drive to the new. That is much faster than Migration Assistant.

I use wifi vs. Ethernet. Just need to confirm I can just connect both computers via ethernet cable

Aug 26, 2015 10:10 AM in response to ndflyby Ralph Landry1,Yes, just take a simple Ethernet wire and plug it into the two Macs. They will automatically network and you can open the hard drive of the old Mac and drag-and-drop the folders/files you want to transfer to the new machine hard drive.
