two mac mini's

Is there a good way to use the thunder cable to put together two mini's: one with snow leopard (the last os that will update) the other new with Yosemite? I am trying to use the disk drive from the older of the two as well as a back up drive..Please help!!

No. No Macs that can run SL have Thunderbolt.

You can:

- Connect both Mac to the same network and use file sharing

- Connect both Mac via FireWire. If the newer Mac does not have FireWire than use a Thunderbolt to FireWire adopter. Boot the old Mac in Target Disk Mode

You can then access the old Mac's internal drives like a drive on the newer Mac
