Email Attachments

How to keep them as icons in letter before sending, instead of open file? What is the default? I cannot find any Preference for this in Mail Preference. Thanks

Terminal command. Copy and paste.

defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool YES

How do I paste it in there? Right after my name with the $ sign, when it opens? Could you give me some instructions?

Control-click the attachment and select 'keep as icon'.
