Hello,
Problem:
new external installed SSD drive „Samsung SSD 850 pro“ does not work internally.
Hardware:
MacBook Pro, late 2009
2,53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo,
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
History:
Former installed "Crucial SSD MX 100“ (Mavericks, 10.9.) died during video streaming (fans were running high, temperature problem?) —> screen froze, restart not possible —> folder with question mark displayed.
Created external drive (HDD 160 GB…) with MacOSX 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Connected via USB, the computer works.
Now installed MacOSX 10.10.5 (Yosemite) on new „Samsung SSD 850 pro“, connected in ext. case via USB, System starts - no problem.
Assemble this same SSD inside MBP - turn on: Start tone, then blank screen. No keyboard shortcuts (of the ones I tried), except „delete parameter ram“ (alt+cmd + p + r) worked.
Question:
Can I come around blank screen? Do I have to install SSD differently? Is my internal drive slot „broken“?
Thank you.
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
