Home Sharing turning off on Apple TV ???

I just got a new iMac (hoo-ray!). My iTunes library is on the iMac, and I have Home Sharing turned on. On my Apple TV, I can see and play movies from my iMac iTunes library. So far, so good. But after watching a movie for about 30 minutes, Home Sharing on the Apple TV turns off by itself. The Apple TV no longer shows my computer as connected to the Apple TV. I think (but am not sure) that my iMac has gone to sleep and drops the Apple TV connection.

What (and where) are the configuration settings to prevent this from happening? I have tried various settings on the iMac in System Preferences > Energy Saver, but I still have the problem. I am on OS X 10.10.5.

You shouldn't need to turn off the sleep settings, but if you want to you need to slide the slider right over to never in the energy saver settings.

Supposing your iMac and Apple TV are connected via WIFI, the problem may also be with your wireless router. I experienced similar trouble and a simple reset (power off - on) of the router solved the problem. You can simply try this but after you restart the router, be patient for at least one minute so your devices can properly reconnect.
