Windows Users Can't Get My Site.

I'm new to iWeb. But not new to the wonders of the Mac.
I recently used iWeb to create and publish a web page.
It all looked fine when I viewed it.
But friends I send the link to tell me they cannot get there.
This is what they send back to me:
THIS IS WHAT I GET WHEN I TRY TO ACCESS THE SITE:
but we can't find the iWeb page you've requested. It's possible that:
·The address was entered incorrectly. Check your spelling and try again.
·The .Mac member of this name has either created a page and removed it or has never published an iWeb site.
·There is no .Mac member of this name. If you'd like this member name for yourself, sign up for a .Mac account right now and have your own iWeb site in minutes.

Noodle-head....

Whenever you tell people about your site, the best URL that you can give them is your short iWeb URL...

http://web.mac.com/username <-- replace 'username' with your own .Mac username

This short iWeb URL will always lead to your homepage (the page that is at the top of your iWeb Site Organizer listing)... And since page names and homepages are likely to change, it is convenient that this short iWeb URL never changes. It is also much shorter than the URL for your homepage, so it is less prone to spelling errors and such. All in all, giving out your short iWeb URL is the best way to ensure that people will always be able to get to your site.

Hello and thanks to all.
I am using the address as suggested by James. And I have since asked another friend, with a Mac, to check it out and it's coming through fine for her. The other factor might be that the first person is on a dial-up connection. So I'm guessing either dial-up, or a older windows computer is the problem.

This is what I have sent.
http://web.mac.com/geo23
It works fine for me.
But what my friend gets is what looks like the banner on the apple site with all the links to various places, such as the Apple Store, .Mac, Quicktime, Support, etc. But it is broken up, incomplete. Then below that is a short list of reasons why she is not getting to the site, such as:

There is no .Mac member of this name.

Then more of the same but in several different languages.

I know this is not the right place to post a new topic, but I have no "post new topic" option. I don't know why.

What I want to know is why my site would display left justified on IE when it displays properly in Safari. Everything else looks fine in IE. I'm not having png issues or anything...just left justification.

Can anyone tell me why?

Many thanks to all.
Ninja: I also thought IE might be the problem so I asked my friend to switch to Firefox - and it worked. This is not to say that....
MacPro.NutNOWeb (hard name to type) is not also right in that it may also be a Windoze specific problem. I originally suspected it had to do with whatever helper apps her IE was using for PNG files (by the way, how come iWeb turned my JPG files into PNG?)

So, in conclusion, I have to say the problem is "diverted." As long as follks don't use IE. With that in mind, I'm not going to mark this as solved in the hopes that more answers are offered.

I have had the same problem with having my site viewed by friends with windows and advised them to download Quicktime 7 and use Firefox and was soon getting mail back to say that they had seen it and how they had enjoyed it. Dave

I know...it's hard to sort of just chalk it up to IE incompatibility when we all know that IE is 90+ percent of the browser market out there. But I would offer the idea that the content on your site is what will drive visitors to do whatever it takes to view it. It's sort of a chicken vs. the egg argument, but I think it holds.

What I have done is to put some code into my pages that only pops up when people come in with IE. It basically tells them that the site will look its best only with FireFox or Safari. Aside from that, I can't really do much more... You can see what this looks like if you surf to my page using IE... http://blog.dirtdoog.com
