What exactly do you use the two Apple IDs for and why are they causing you a problem.

I don't really even want two ID's. But the last time I bought a new desktop computer, I accidentally signed up for an Apple ID and ended up with my old one and then the 'new' one. Someone told me that now one can do something with Family Share? And then having two ID's won't be an issue??
But what is the issue, why don't you just stop using one of them.
