ical invitations don't give me an accept or decline option. The .ics file is just accepted straight into the calendar and the only option I have is OK. How do I fix this problem?

When I receive an calendar meeting invitation it appears as an ical attachment but there is no option to accept / decline or maybe the meeting request. If i click on the .ics file it automatically puts the meeting in the calendar and the only option available is Ok.
