Yes if the manufacturer specifically states it will work with your model Mac and you can return it if it does not work. Macs are picky about memory

Who is the manufacturer? If it is PNY, avoid at all costs. PNY RAM

was nothing but problems with my late 2013 27" iMac even though it was

stated to be "Mac Compatible".n Replaced with RAM from OWC and has

run silky smooth ever since.


Strongly suggest getting RAM from OWC or Crucial's Mac Specific RAM. I personally

have had really good luck with Mac Specific RAM from Corsair.
