If your profile is correct you don't have an iCloud drive folder on your Mac.

How about updating it so we don't have to guess?
Assuming your OS is up to date enough to enable iCloud Drive, why is it being empty a problem, will it not allow you to add documents or something. Your post is somewhat vague.
