How do i add music onto my iphone from itunes

I have an iphone 6, the newest update of itunes and apple play. I have my friends music that isnt on itunes or anything like that, just an mp3 in my itunes. When i drag this to my iphone it comes up with a message saying "Some of the files were not copied to the iPhone "..." because iCloud Music Library is enabled on this iPhone."
Is there anyway to add songs while still having icloud on?
