I can't answer FaceTime when it rings, but I can ring the person who rang back. Any ideas?

FAcetime rings but I can't answer it, but I can ring the person who called back. Any ideas? It is now not doing either

iPad Air, iOS 8.1

What happens when you try to answer? What troubleshooting steps have you done?

Try pressing and holding the home and power buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Release them and let the device power up.

If that doesn't work, go to Settings>>FaceTime>>Sign out and sign back in.

TThank you will try this solution. When I try to answer when FaceTime rings no matter what I do I can't slide to answer. The contact list disappeared yesterday as well so I couldn't ring the caller back either. Then I did manage to.
