Q: Compressor Problem

I am running Final Cut Pro on an iMac OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5. Yesterday I purchased Compressor from the Mac App Store. When in FCP and pick Send to Compressor I get this message “You must have Compressor installed to use this feature. You can purchase Compressor from the Mac App Store. What's up with this?

Open System Information>Software>Installations and verify that it is in fact installed.

Or just look in the Applications folder, that's pretty easy.  Be sure you're signed in to the App Store/iTunes first.  If it isn't installed, open the App Store, go to Purchases, verify it is listed there.  Also check the Updates section, be sure everything is up to date.  What version of FCPX are you running?  It has to be a version that matches your version of Compressor.
