Q: How to connect Apple LED 24" Display to Dell Laptop

Hello everyone!

So I own a Dell Studio 1555 laptop and my brother has given me his apple LED 24" Display monitor (which is way bigger than my current screen). I'm going crazy trying to find a way to connect the monitor to my laptop.

^thats how my laptop looks so i don't have a displayport or mini displayport, however I do have an HDMI, not that its helped me solve my problem.

The monitor has 3 USB ports and then has the male USB, Mini displayport, and the other irrelevant one. Would be perfect if there was a female mini display port to male HDMI converter but i cant seem to find any. Is there any way for me to make this work without spending 100$ on the Atlona products?? Plz help!! XD

It runs a 27" display at half resolution (1280 x 720) but should run the 24" display at full resolution (1920 x 1200).

It's only $99.95, and it's not Atlona.

It's easy to go from a Mini DisplayPort computer to HDMI display because the computer recognizes the adapter and changes its video output format, but the reverse is not easy. Your computer cannot produce video in the correct format, so a converter is needed, not a simple adapter.
