Try & enter finger print again try one for your thumb .

Okay, I cleaned the ipad, added my thumb print, which is the one I had before, and it seems to be holding. I usually have two or three finger prints recorded since I often open the ipad from different angles. All 3 fingerprints stopped working a day or so ago which is why I contact this forum. After cleaning the screen and adding my thumb print it's working again. If you don't hear from me then of course it means it continues to work and cleaning the screen must have done it.

You're welcome. Great it's working again.
Tip: When recording your fingerprint, do it using different angles (even upside down) every time it asks you to place your finger.
