Bluetooth won't connect my Bose Soundlink

Hi,

Bluetooth is on and its showing the Bose in 'My Devices'

When I try to connect it asks me to 'ensure device is in range'.

Its sat next to my I Pad !!


Bose in in Bluetooth mode as well.


Early I Pad maybe thats the issue ?


Any tips/help appreciated,
