How do I permanently remove apps from my iPad Mini?

Press and hold on the App icon, until all icons start to shake. Then Tap on the ✖ in the corner to delete the App.

Tap and HOLD the app until they wiggle.Tap the "x" in the top-left corner of the icon of the app you want to delete, the tap "Delete".

System embedded apps like Messages, Calculator and notes cannot be deleted. They will not have the delete "x" on them.

If no apps can be deleted (no "x" on any of them), check Settings/General/Restrictions (you'll need your restrictions passcode if one was setup). Make sure the Deleting Apps setting is turned on.

You also cannot delete apps that are in your purchases and remove them from the App Store and your Apple ID. They are forever tied to the Apple ID under which they were purchased.
