My magic mouse stopped working. The green light comes on but my Imac won't recognize it. How do I re initiate the Bluetooth driver without using a mouse?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), iOS 8.4.1

Please carefully read and follow the steps in Troubleshooting wireless mouse and keyboard issues - Apple Support, chances are good the answer is within that Apple advice letter.
