Q: Empty trash or restart before reinstalling FCPX?

Once I've followed the steps for deleting FCPX, do I need to empty the trash and/or restart my computer before reinstalling FCPX?

    Since your version is not the latest, if I were you I would archive (zip) a copy of the dot app package before permanently deleting…just in case .

     

    Many people here recommend FCS Remover to uninstall any of the pro apps. It requires a download but once you have it, you don't have to go hunting for preference files.
