icloud backup inactive
The button is not active in the settings - how do I activate?

settings»icloud»backup» the button (slider) is inactive.
It isn't a slider. Simply tap on it.
Are you logged into iCloud?
Do you have restrictions enabled on the phone.
it is inactive. yes logged in
Are you currently on WiFi? Or just cellular?
Try a forced restart: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the restart.
found out that my company disabled icloud - sorry for the silly question then
