my iphone 5c keeps searching for reception

my iPhone c keeps searching for reception? I've disconnected the sim card and put it back in the phone which seemed to work for the first couple of times.

then would starting searching again.? now I've tried to reset, restore and update and every time it appears on the screen that a error 1 comes up?? i'm not to sure what's going on?????😕 😟 help me please. x
