Trouble starting up Macbook Pro

Hello, earlier today my MacBook Pro (early 2011) started glitching out on the screen (weird graphical bugs), and eventually it froze and shut down. It is running the latest Yosemite version.

I've been trying to boot it up all afternoon, but it just hangs at a white screen. I tried some things to get it to work: safe mode and reseting the PRAM didn't work. I can't even get into Recovery Mode.

I'm now trying to recover my data from the computer so I can try to do a clean installation.

How should I go about this? I have a couple of USB flash drives, a time capsule (which unfortunately doesn't have any recent backups) and a Snow Leopard installation disk (which doesn't seem to boot).

Thanks

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 8gb ram
