Duplicate icons in taskbar

Hi all.

Windows 10 here (how is it not in the OS selection list yet?). After the last iTunes update (I think), I've been having problems with the iTunes icon in my taskbar when iTunes is open. I have iTunes pinned to my taskbar and when I click it to open it, it opens, but under a completely different icon that gets put to the right of all my other pinned icons (as if I had opened a program not pinned to the taskbar). I have tried unpinning, repinning, and pinning the second icon that opens as I have done in the past after updating iTunes to no avail. No other pinned program has this issue and I can't seem to resolve this one.
