Static sound imac 5k

I have a new iMac 5K and a Resident Audio thunderbolt audio box. I have been noticing a white noise, static sound coming through it since i've had it. It gotten quite annoying and I wanted to find out who else is having this issue. After reading the MBP 2013 thread on a similar problem I believe it's Apple hardware.

I paid over $4K for the computer and expect it to work as advertised. Any help is greatly appreciated.
