Bonjour Printing - Error -9672

Just installed a new HP Deskjet D4160 and connected it to my Airport Express. Installed the software, when to ad the printer and although it shows up in the list I get "Error -9672".

I've tried reinstalling the driver, repairing permissions, rebooting, resetting the base station.

My previous printer, Deskjet 5150, worked fine in this setup, and the 4160 did work when directly connected to the computer.

PowerMac G5 1.8 SP, Mac OS X (10.4.8), 1.25GB RAM, 80/200 GB SATA Drives, 20" Cinema Display, lots of USB stuff...

After trying everything posted - to no avail - I finally deleted the HP Deskjet folder (HD/Library/Preferences/Printers/HP) and all the com/apple/printer plist files in User/Library/Preferences.

I then downloaded printer driver 2.7.1 for my Deskjet 3650 to replace the new 3.3 updated driver - and it added without a hitch - recognized by Airport Extreme and prints fine.

Seems as if the old drivers are the best....

My first post - but had to see if this helps anyone else driven to distraction by this error message!

I had this exact same problem with my macbook and HP 4180 all in one. I ended up (after HOURS of trying to figure it out) finding something on the HP website that instructed me to delete the HP included driver, and use the "built-in" mac driver 1000 gimp something or other.

that enabled me to utilize the simple print functionality only. Humph.
