Left MacBook Air on 24 hours in laptop bag

Hi, so I was using my MacBook Air and then instead of doing a proper shutdown I just closed the lid and put it in a small laptop bag (no ventilation), then threw it in my bag pack. I initially thought I'll be using it again in a few hours. Instead, I forgot about it until the next day (24 hours). I open the lid and it was on standby (I believe). Is this harmful to the device? Any comment is appreciated.
