With your profile (OS X 10.4.8) I am not sure if you can.

First yo need to update to Snow Leopard by purchasing a DVD

The fully update to 10.6.8.
Note that you will sill not have the latest version of Safari. You can use Google Chrome or FireFox browsers since those are fully updated.
To get Lion you have to order a download code to download Lion
