I can no longer import instrument tracks from other sessions?

Hi

Since the update when i go to file > Import, i no longer have the option to import say instrument tracks with plugins like I did before the update. I only have option to import midi and audio and neither of these let me access the instrument channels in old sessions. Importing project data doesn't seem to let me either does anyone know of a solution?
