Find itunes synced photos not uploaded to icloud

I just finished at 6 day, 40 GB, upload of my iphone 5 photos to the icloud photo library. When the upload started, I was warned that 1176 photos that were synced with iTunes would not be uploaded to icloud. There is an Apple doc "get help with your icloud photo library" that has some vague instructions on how to upload photos, but it assumes that you know which photos you want to upload. I am trying to determine which 1176 photos out of the 16,000 total that I will need to upload manually. Where is that information stored? In iTunes? on my desktop? Thanks.
