gmail wont send or receive mail on cellular network

I cannot send or receive gmail emails using Apple's Mail app on my iPhone 6 when I'm NOT using WiFi (i.e. when using the cellular/mobile network). My IOS is up to date, and i've made sure my settings are correct in google. Gmail behaves normally when on WiFi.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a fix?
