We have multiple ipads, some ipad air, some ipad 2. Unfortunately this means we have cable spaghetti
to deal with because of the different interfaces. Is anyone aware of a lightning female adapter to 30 pin
male adapter that would work for charge and data synch and is compatible with the ipad 2?

That's kinda the opposite of what I want. I have many 8 pin cables. I was hoping to find an adapter with 8-pin female to 30-pin male that would work for both synch and power. I've tried 3 different ones from amazon and ebay, none work for data, only 1 (sort of) worked for charging. . Thanks anyway.
UPDATE: Actually I think we're heading the windows route with tablets. A friend of mine has a tablet that has a USB port and a micro-sd slot for expansion. We can use a standard cable for charging, so we don't need to spend $30 or $40 on a proprietary cables over and over if something happens to them. We'll probably sell the older ipads and get a windows tablet, then when the newer ipads are no longer current, get rid of them too.
I looked into the lighting-to-30 pin adapters and couldn't find any that were Apple certified.
