mal/genric-s keeps re-occuring

I'm so frustrated. I keep hitting dead ends and can't get rid of this malware. Using OS X 10.10.4 thanks for any help you can give me. Already using Sohos for protection and I keep deleting it and it just comes back. Sohos was of no help, checked their boards and nothing is helping me. Contacted Sohos directly and they referred me to the board. This is frustrating.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

1. Use free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac/ AdwareMedic to remove adware

http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php

Download, install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.

Once done, quit Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Turn all extensions off and relaunch Safari. Test.

Turn those on one by one and test.

Forget about the "malware." It's either nothing at all or a harmless (to you) Windows trojan attached to an email.

Remove the useless, time-wasting Sophos product by following the instructions on this page, and also this one, if applicable. If you have a different version, the procedure may be different.

Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" software again.
