Can't update GarageBand

I have GarageBand version 6.0.5, when I enter GarageBand, it says there is a new version available of GarageBand.

However, when I click for more details, and look in the AppStore, it says I have to pay for it.

GarageBand also doesn't show up in my purchases.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for those who take the time to give me an answer!

If you previously installed GarageBand from an iLife DVD or got it with a Mac that shipped with 10.6.8 or earlier, that’s correct.

If you previously downloaded GarageBand from or associated it with the Mac App Store, sign in with the same Apple ID and check the Purchases tab again.

If you got GarageBand with a Mac that shipped with 10.7 or newer and didn’t associate it with the Mac App Store, click here.
