I have an iPad that will not power up. The Apple logo appears and disappears like in a boot loop. I have tried numerous times to force it into recovery mode. My laptop will not recognize it for back up until I am able to 1) Power up or 2) enter recovery mode. Please help!!

Turn ipad OFF
Connect lead to USB on your PC
Press & hold power button Don't let go on ipad.
Connect lead to iPad keep power button pressed down
Until PC sees iPad wait for restore .
You may need to do this a few times before it works.

I have tried this numerous times also. If this is the last resort, I guess I will just have to give up.
