iMac stand snapped and broke

Working one day, looking at my 27" iMac, when 'snap'!, and the angle of the screen went flat. Turns out something (?) broke where the stand attaches to the computer, something internal as it's not obvious. Where you could formerly adjust the angle of the screen in the normal way, now the screen just wants to frown, facing downward.

And the funny thing is this has happened to two of my iMacs in as many months. Anyone else had this happen?

[I wasn't sure where to post this so I chose Displays].

Following up, for the benefit of future searchers…Genius boys said that while they'd heard of it the condition was rare, and the fact that it happened to two of ours was, well, rarer. Turns out that to fix it th techs must almost completely disassemble the iMac. This makes sense given where it is.

Both were repaired free of charge under AppleCare.
