i been try to upgrade my ipod touch to ios 4.3 but is not updating. And he will be saying this version of the ipod software (4.2.1) is the current version. please help me out so that i can upgrade my ios version to 4.3 thank you

A second generation iPod touch can’t be updated past 4.2.1. If you happen to have a newer model, it may be updatable directly to 5.1.1 or 6.1.6, but not 4.3.

Append the last three characters of its serial number to http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords= and load the page; this will reveal what model it is.
If it’s a second generation iPod touch, you can’t.
If it’s a newer one, update the version of iTunes on the computer you’re using and then try updating the device again.

You have a 2G iPod and its hardware does not support higher than 4.2.1.
If iTunes was limiting it then the current OSX version would 4.1. That was the breakpoint.
