i've totally forgotten how i originally got my final cut pro X, but i must have logged into something. paid my $299. would seem i can go back to that spot. log in again. and download onto my desktop computer?
Log into the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID and click on the Purchases tab.

You can only re-download an application if it was purchased in the App Store. Log into the App Store using the same Apple ID with which you purchased the app. Click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. Locate the entry for FCPX and click on the Install/Download button. You need to do this from the other computer that does not have FCPX installed.
I do not know if Apple permits multiple downloads of FCPX, but the above is how you find out.
