Q: The item is currently being modified. Please try again later - Error on Purchase

I'm getting this message on about 50% of attempted iBook purchases. Consistent for Particular titles. I have tried three different devices. I tried "trying again later as suggested by the message, but this has now been going on for days. Help!

iPad, iOS 8.4.1, Happens on iPhone 6plus and Mac too

Same problem. All three books that I have tried have Random House LLC as the seller.

Well, the problem is not Random House LLC as seller, since I was just able to purchase a different book that lists them as its seller.

Good grief, Apple.

Same me thing for me! I've been trying to purchase Fool Moon, by Jim Butcher (Penguin Publishing). I have been getting the same message for the last two days.
