Change carriers?
I want to give my old ATT iphone 5s to a friend. Her carrier is Verizon. Can she use my old phone?

Probably not. Although, in theory, if the phone was unlocked by AT&T, it should be possible for it to work on Verizon's 4G network, it practice, it is unlikely to work. However, if the phone is in good condition, and your friend is eligible to upgrade, they could trade it in to Verizon and use the proceeds toward the price of a new phone.
