Spam text?

Earlier this evening I received a text from The number 437-04. It read:

iTunes deactivated your account. Click the link and follow instruction: http://bit.do/iTunes-activate

It feels like spam to me. Has anyone else received this text?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4.1

I just had what I think is a spam text, saying my Apple ID is due to expire. Prevent this by confirming [your] Apple ID at:

http://appleid-update.com

This must be spam! (mustn't it?)

I tried to report it to applepfishing....but google bounced it back, thinking My email was spam!

Boy oh boy! I've just put a filter on my text/messages.

Maybe that will help.

Hi,

I just received this text saying my apple I'd was about to expire but it obviously a spam as it redirects me to the following website link which I have not opened -

http://appie-control.com, despite the text saying apple!

"Final Notification

Your AppIe ID is due to expire today. Prevent this by confirming your AppIe ID at

http://appIe-control.com

AppIe Inc"

Please Apple look into this to prevent others from being spam/scammed.

It's a phishing attempt to try and get your account and payment details, iTunes accounts aren't deactivated (and you won't get texts nor emails from iTunes/Apple about an account being disabled). You could copy the text into an email and forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com

Or if it was an iMessage send it to imessage.spam@apple.com (Report iMessages that look like spam or junk - Apple Support)
