Bring the MBP into an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation. Do make an appointment first.

I have taken it to Norwich Apple store on the 28th august but as it was 11months out of warranty the did not want to know even though it had started before the warranty ended, they just said I should have reported it then, but I did not know what was happening at the time.Even apple at Norwich store would not say what it was and what had caused it.

Hi there. In the UK we have the wonderful 'EU Consumer Law' (http://www.apple.com/uk/legal/statutory-warranty/) which states that the product should last for at least 6 years. I've had a faulty iPad Mini (out of warranty) replaced under this so can vouch for it 🙂 !

Provided you purchased it directly from the Apple Store (and not Argos/PC World or somewhere else), you are well within your rights to seek a replacement from Apple.

Any problems, speak to Consumer Advice Bureau in the UK. Send them a detailed email explaining the situation and they will get a specialist to advise on your rights & any next steps to take.
