Can You Use The Apple USB-C 29W Adapter to Charge iPhone 6 or 6 Plus?

I'm using the iPhone 6 Plus. Can you use Apple's new 29W USB-C Adapter to charge the iPhone 6 Plus? I know that I would need to purchase the USB-C to USB adapter to use the lightning cable.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4.1

I would say yes as long as the usb provide 5volts and a min of 0.5Amps it should charge

and when it's to a computer sync too
