My ipad keeps deleting and rearranging my music

I just manually synced the full hobbit soundtrack onto my ipad. last time i used manual sync, i had no problems. this time all of my music was deleted. i tried to make a playlist of the music i just synced on, but whenever i finish editing my playlist, the music goes back to its original location. this makes it horrid to listen to soundtracks. i have never had any of these problems. ive been trying to fix it for three hours and im very tired and fed up. help.
