Recover deleted pictures without back-up

Is there a way to recover deleted pictures, contacts, notes, apps etc if I never did a back up to my phone? I recently upgraded from a 5 to 6. When I had a chance to plug phone to iTunes, everything was deleted from my iphone5. I had over 8000 sentimental pictures. I could never upload to iCloud because of the amount of pictures. Please!! Anyone!!! Please please tell me there is a way
