Long Term Problems from Application Quiting Unexpectedly

I was playing a game on my Macbook Air and it quit unexpectedly.

I'm pretty sure this was due to the graphics settings being too high for my computer to handle.

I reduced the settings and it seems to run fine now.

I'm wondering if there are any long term problems caused from an app simply quitting unexpectedly once or twice? Or is OS X build to handle these occurrences?

Cheers!

MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
