iPhone 5s will not turn on or respond to hard reset, even when plugged into a good charger.

iPhone 5S will not turn on, even when plugged into a good charger. Hard reset did not work. There was no physical damage.

How long was it plugged into the charger? When an iPhone has a completely drained battery it may take up to 30 minutes before the iPhone responds. Plug the phone into the charger that came with it and plug that into a known good wall outlet. Wait 30 minutes. Then reset the iPhone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

If the phone restarts let it continue to charge until the batter is at 100%.

If the iPhone will not restart make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. Be sure to back up your device before taking or sending it to Apple.

Just to verify, you charged it for 30 minutes with the wall adapter. Then held the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time for up to 30 seconds or until an Apple logo appeared, and nothing happened? No Apple, no messages, no displayed instructions?
