I am running OS X 10.10.5 on my MacBook Air. There is an icon for "Zip Devil" that I am unable to delete. When I try to drag it to the trash, it won't delete. My Norton AV deleted a file called ZipDevil.dmg. How I can I delete the icon?

I am running OS X 10.10.5 on my MacBook Air. There is an icon for "Zip Devil" that I am unable to delete. When I try to drag it to the trash, it won't delete. My Norton AV deleted a file called ZipDevil.dmg. How I can I delete the icon?

Icon on desktop won't delete when moved to the trash.

Restart the computer and see whether it goes away.

B

Remove the worthless Norton/Symantec product by following these instructions. If you have a different version of the product, the procedure may be different.

Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" product again.
