Upgrade SSD

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro model 11,2 (late 2013) with 16 GO memory and 256 GO SSD storage. OS is Yosemite.

Is it possible to upgrade SSD to 512 or 1TO, and if so, what make of memory should I use? (fastest possible) Is-it possible to do it by myself or if I have to go to Apple? Thanks.

You can get good info on available SSD brands and size that work from OWC, http://www.macsales.com and Crucial, http://www.crucial.com where there are even on-line videos on upgrading. But be aware that doing that yourself voids all warranty AppleCare support and any damage done, Apple will not give any help.

Better solution , not cheaper but safer, is to try the Apple Store Genius Bar or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for Apple approved help.

Your grand children are distracting you. A late 2013 retina MBP is not compatible with the OWC or Crucial SSDs. iFixit.co may have something that lp1957 seeks.
