iOS 6 iPod touch was disabled while on airplane mode...

Made the stupid mistake of giving my friend my password and now he's gone and unlocked my iPod touch, set it on airplane mode, then changed the password and locked me out enough times. When I was trying to get in with my old password, I had to wait the second sixty minute wait. As I was in a group, I had no idea who to ask. When I asked everyone, they had no idea. My iPod had been passed around, see... So I guessed again and now it's disabled forever

Anyway, I've tried everything Apple Support recommends - using iTunes, iCloud (with Find My iPhone) and my iPod isn't new enough to have a force restart function. What do I do?! iTunes says it can't connect BECAUSE it's disabled, iCloud says it can't because it's not connected to the Internet.

Disabled

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:

iTunes: Restoring iOS software

To restore from backup see:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
